Description

We’re looking for student volunteers to join the panel for our upcoming event: Cultural Conversations: Challenging Misconceptions & Stereotypes. This event is scheduled for early October (exact date TBA).

As a panelist, you will: 

  • Share your experiences and perspectives around common misconceptions and stereotypes related to your culture, ethnicity, or identity. 
  • Contribute to an open dialogue that promotes understanding across differences. 
  • Help create a safe and inclusive space for meaningful conversation. 

Commitment includes: 

  • One prep conversation to provide event details and panel guidance 

  • Follow-up email with full event structure and discussion points 

  • Personal preparation time (reflecting on your own experiences/stories) 

  • Meeting 15 minutes before the 1-hour event 

Estimated total time commitment: 3–6 hours 

This is a great opportunity to gain public speaking experience, build leadership skills, and make an impact in fostering cultural awareness.
