We’re looking for student volunteers to join the panel for our upcoming event: Cultural Conversations: Challenging Misconceptions & Stereotypes. This event is scheduled for early October (exact date TBA).
As a panelist, you will:
- Share your experiences and perspectives around common misconceptions and stereotypes related to your culture, ethnicity, or identity.
- Contribute to an open dialogue that promotes understanding across differences.
- Help create a safe and inclusive space for meaningful conversation.
Commitment includes:
One prep conversation to provide event details and panel guidance
Follow-up email with full event structure and discussion points
Personal preparation time (reflecting on your own experiences/stories)
Meeting 15 minutes before the 1-hour event
Estimated total time commitment: 3–6 hours
This is a great opportunity to gain public speaking experience, build leadership skills, and make an impact in fostering cultural awareness.
